Installation Best Practices
Preparation Steps
- Remove all organic material and vegetation
- Excavate to proper depth plus base thickness
- Install geotextile fabric if needed
- Add and compact base layer if required
- Install edge restraints or borders
Installation Tips
- • Spread gravel in thin lifts (2-3 inches max)
- • Compact each lift with plate compactor
- • Maintain proper drainage slope (2% minimum)
